WHAT WE BELIEVE:

  • Bible We believe that the Bible in its entirety is the inspired written Word of God and the only infallible and authoritative rule of faith and conduct.
  • The Great Commission We believe in Christ’s great commission to the Church to go into all the world and preach the gospel.
  • God We believe in one living and true God, infinite in glory, wisdom, holiness, justice, power and love, one in His essence but eternally substantial in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • Jesus Christ We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
  • Salvation We believe that the terms of salvation are repentance from sin towards God, and a personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This results in the regeneration of the person who is transformed from sinner to saint and is assured of eternal life through Jesus Christ. This salvation is entirely by the grace of our Lord and not of works. Works are excluded except as fruit of salvation.
  • Holy Spirit We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
  • Baptism of the Holy Spirit We believe in the receiving of an initial portion of the Holy Spirit upon salvation, and the receiving of a second distinct empowering known as the “Baptism of the Holy Spirit”. The gifts of the Spirit are available to all believers, and in the manifestation of the Holy Spirit operative in the Church.
  • Fruits of the Spirit We believe in the fruit of the Spirit as revealed in Galatians 5:22,23. Just as God revealed His love for us by laying down His life, we also should demonstrate a covenant love for one another by preferring one another above ourselves, and submitting to local church authority, that we all might prosper in the Lord.
  • The Return We believe that at the return of Jesus Christ “the dead in Christ shall rise first, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord”. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved to everlasting life, and the lost to eternal damnation and punishment.
  • Marriage We believe that marriage constitutes a bond of lifetime commitment between one man (Male) and one woman (Female) and that it is the only legitimate, honorable and holy estate instituted by God. It was ordained of God as the foundation and bond of family life for the mutual help and comfort of husband and wife, and for the welfare of the state.
  • Baptism We believe in full immersion water baptism for all believers as soon as possible after conversion.
  • Communion We believe in the observance of the “Lord’s Supper” as a memorial of His broken body and the New Testament in His blood.
  • Our Relationship We believe in and have entered into a personal relationship with Almighty God through the Lord Jesus Christ manifested by the Spirit, and that man without this relationship with God is a hopeless sinner lost for all eternity.
  • Kingdom of God The Kingdom of God is a present reality and a future hope, forcibly advancing through the agency of the church.
